2008 Lancer Evolution
The 2008 Lancer Evolution was
unveiled at the 2005 New York International Auto Show. The 2008
Lancer Evolution comes packed with power and aerodynamic
enhancements taken from Mitsubishi's rally-racing success during the
past 13 years. This high performance compact sedan comes with the
features and specs that make it command an edge in its class. If you
are looking for a truly stand out in a high-performance compact
sedan, the 2008 Lancer Evolution can be the nice choice to go for.
Equipped with a standard 2.0L DOHC 16-valve I-4 intercooled engine
delivering a horsepower of 286 at 6500 rpm and 289 foot-pounds of
torque at a very low 3500 rpm. The 2008 Lancer Evolution is
available in the regular Evolution IX, the MR Edition and a
lesser-equipped RS sedan.
For safety, the 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution features trunk
anti-trap device, driver airbag, front pretensioners with force
limiters, side guard door beams, front and rear crumple zones, front
passenger airbag, front automatic locking retractors, front seatbelt
height adjuster, rear 3-point center seatbelt, front and rear
3-point seatbelts, child safety door locks located on rear doors,
vehicle anti-theft via engine immobilizer etc. Antilock brakes with
electronic brake-force distribution are standard on the regular
model and the MR Edition.

Mitsubishi/InfinityŽ CD audio system with 7 speakers etc. The IX
trim of the 2008 Lancer Evolution features a new front fascia and
grille, new smoked front and rear lamp bezels, and redesigned
